Children and Teens

Atlanta Friends Meeting welcomes children!

Please see our Religious Education page for more information about our First Day School Program for ages 3-18.

Nursery Care

Our nursery is open every First Day (Sunday) for ages 3 and under from 9:45-11:30. Our nursery caregiver is a paid staff member of the meeting and manages our nursery program. Additional volunteers or parents may also choose to support the nursery on First Day mornings.

First Day School (PreK-12th grade)

Children 3 and above can attend First Day School from 10:15-11:15. Children 3 and older are invited to join their parents/guardians in the main worship room from 10:00-10:15. At 10:15 the main doors will be opened and children and teachers will exit for religious education. Classes are split up by lower elementary, upper elementary and middle & high School combined.

Teens – Southern Appalachian Young Friends [SAYF]

Additional programs for teens are offered through the Southern Appalachian Young Friends Program [SAYF]. Our Young Friends Program Coordinator organizes opportunities for teens (7th-12th grade) to attend monthly retreats with other young Friends from around the Southeast. Meetings that participated in the SAYF program are the monthly meetings of the Southern Appalachian Yearly Meeting and Association [SAYMA].
